GOVERNOR SETS STAGE FOR FINAL MONTHS OF OFFICE

In his final State of the State address as governor, Deval Patrick last night both looked back and ahead to his priorities for his last year in office. Patrick called for overhauling the state's unemployment insurance system and renewed his call for raising the state's minimum wage. He also told lawmakers he's working to strengthen DCF programs in the wake of the disappearance of a Fitchburg boy under state care.
