Lawmakers Vote For More Money--For Themselves

The state House members are giving their approval to large raises for themselves, state senators and other elected officials.

The 18-million-dollar measure would provide raises of around 40 percent to lawmakers and the state's constitutional officers.

Governor Charlie Baker threatened to veto a similar measure in 2014, and says he doesn't see much different about the current proposal.

The measure now heads to the Senate, which is expected to take it up this morning.
