A new poll shows that President Donald Trump would defeat Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren in a possible match-up in 2020.
The POLITICO-Morning Consult poll shows Trump defeating Warren by a 42 to 36 percent margin in a hypothetical election.
The poll shows that a generic Democrat would perform better than Warren, collecting 43 percent to Trump's 35 percent.
The poll was conducted last week, after Warren was silenced on the Senate floor for criticizing then Senator Jeff Sessions.
Meantime, Trump has already formed a re-election committee for 2020. He did that the first day he took office.
