Doctored Numbers Means Big Money For State

Massachusetts is collecting 20-million  dollars as the state's share of a nationwide settlement with  Volkswagen.

The lawsuit accused Volkswagen of doctoring software to  make its high mileage diesel vehicles pass emissions tests.

Attorney  General Maura Healey says VW's actions caused thousands of additional  tons of pollution to enter the environment.

More than 15-thousand of  the illegally equipped vehicles were sold in Massachusetts.
