Governor Readies For Cuts In Budget

State budget writers are sharpening  their pencils after the latest revenue projections.

The state  Department of Revenue says the state has brought in 462-million-dollars  less in tax money than the budget expects this fiscal year.

That's a  drop of more than two percent from projected levels.

Governor Charlie  Baker is expected to work with his budget staff to close the gap before  the end of the fiscal year June 30th.
