Worcester Congressman James McGovern is supporting legislation that would reform the Social Security system.
The measure seeks to increase benefits for elderly retirees, while also making sure Social Security is solvent into the next century.
McGovern held an event in Worcester yesterday with Connecticut Congressman John Larson to talk up the plan to a group of seniors.
Larson is the lead sponsor of the bill.
