UMass Wants Bigger On-Line Footprint

The University of Massachusetts is  planning to become a large player in the online college ranks.

UMass is  expanding their online programs and is seeking to attract students from  across the country.

UMass officials are hoping to offset a drop in  college age students in the state with new revenue from online students  from other parts of the country.

UMass online courses are only offered  to students in the Northeast region at this time.
