A trial is underway for a Chicopee man charged with unnecessary deadly force.
Jeffrey Lovell allegedly shot 15-year-old Dylan Francisco in July of 2016 when Francisco knocked on the door of his home, thinking he was a burglar.
Prosecutors argued in Hampden Superior Court on Thursday that Lovell was not in danger.
A jury has been waived for the manslaughter trial, meaning Lovell's fate will be decided by a judge.
