The Boston Red Sox are the 2018 world champions of baseball.
The Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-to-1 last night in L.A. to take the World Series, 4 games to 1.
It's the ninth championship for Boston, which had won five in the early 20th century before enduring an 86-year drought.
This year's World Series featured the longest game ever when Game 3, won by Los Angeles, lasted nearly seven-and-a-half hours.
Word is expected later today on what the city of Boston will do to honor the team.
