Tax Holiday Returns To Spur Sales And Stretch Dollars

The annual sales tax-free holiday in Massachusetts is going to be the weekend of August 29th and 30th. It's the second tax holiday under a law signed in 2018 by Governor Charlie Baker.

He says this year, it's a great way to support the state's economy and small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The weekend is geared to bigger ticket items.

In Connecticut, the weeklong sales tax holiday is set for August 16 through the 22nd. That week is geared more toward back to school shopping.
