Two Cabinet Members, Congresswoman Test Positive For Virus

Attorney General Merrick Garland has tested positive for COVID.

A statement from the Justice Department says Garland is not experiencing symptoms and has been fully vaccinated and boosted.

He asked for a test after learning he may have been exposed to the virus.

The announcement came hours after Garland hosted a crowded news conference at the Justice Department.

A second member of President Biden's Cabinet has also announced a positive COVID test.

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo reported mild symptoms and noted that she is also fully vaccinated and boosted.

But it doesn't stop there either. Massachusetts Congresswoman Katherine Clark reports that she, too has tested positive for coronavirus and is working from home until she is cleared to return to Congress.
