Hospital Carpenter Faces Gun Charges

The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office is moving forward with a case against a state hospital worker who allegedly possessed a ghost gun on the premises.

State police arrested Kenneth Fullam of Burrillville last November. Fullam worked as a carpenter at the Zambarano campus in Pascoag.

"As alleged in the criminal information, at approximately 1 p.m. on November 21, 2022, the Rhode Island State Police were dispatched to the motor pool building of Eleonor Slater Hospital in Burrillville. There, it is alleged, State Police met with hospital administration staff who advised the troopers that an ongoing internal investigation revealed an employee of the hospital, the defendant, possessed a firearm in his locker on the grounds," according to the charging documents.

Prosecutors say an AR-15-style gun with no serial number or other identification markings was found in his locker. An arraignment is scheduled in Superior Court June 30th.
