Springfield's Forest Park Civic Association held its annual meeting on Sunday.
Local officials were on hand to take part in the meeting and the dinner which followed.
The future of the park was a topic of discussion, including a proposed horticulture and learning center.
Director of Parks Patrick Sullivan says the aim is to release state environmental funds pledged to Springfield.
The 735-acre Victorian park dates back to the 1880s and is surrounded by the city neighborhood of the same name.
