A weekend house fire in Chicopee Saturday morning has left one person dead.
Crews were called to the first block of Southwick Street at around 9:30 am.
They were able to contain the blaze to the first floor but found dead one of the residents and a dog.
A section of Southwick was closed for a time during the fire.
The victim was not identified, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
