Teen Dies At Southwick Motocross Off Road Race

A local teenager has been identified as the person killed at a Southwick bike race last weekend.

Seventeen-year-old Noah DuPont was competing in a J-Day Off-Road event at the Wick 338 motocross track on Sunday when he lost control of his bike and struck either a tree or a pole that was part of the course.

Sergeant Thomas Krutka of the Southwick Police Department says emergency crews rushed to DuPont's aid, but were unable to save him.

The owner of J-Day and a relative of DuPont have set up GoFundMe pages to help his family cover medical and funeral expenses.
