Despite what others may say, I am actually a pretty low maintenance person. I don't need much. I don't ask for much. But, whatever I need and get I am appreciative of. I will always say "thanks" or "thank you" or "I appreciate it" depending upon my mood at the time. That's the way I was brought up. Go figure.
But what happens today when someone else is appreciative of what you do? Have you ever been in a store and instead of the clerk saying "thank you" they give you a guttural noise or even worse "yep". Well at least they acknowledge it.
But what happened to manners? What happened to just common sense? It is just something that has been lacking for years. I just don't get it. Of course there is a lot that I don't get or for that matter don't even want.
Shakespeare said "I can no other answer make, but, thanks and thanks".
Bettcha he would have some interesting thoughts in the checkout line.
