Governor Charlie Baker says his administration is working in a bipartisan fashion to move Massachusetts forward.
Baker delivered his second State of the Commonwealth address in the House Chamber last night.
Baker says his bipartisan team and the legislature have worked together to make Massachusetts stronger.
He also is pledging to continue the fight against opioid abuse, to improve the MBTA and to continue growing the state economy.
He said state aid to cities and towns would be going up. So, too, would funding for schools.
But not everyone is ready to totally embrace Baker's words. Some mayors are concerned that increased funding may mean even more money for Boston at the expense of the poor cities and towns throughout the state.
Meantime, the Governor is expected to file is 40 billion dollar state budget proposal today.
