Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is joining the lawsuit seeking to block President Trump's immigration executive order.
Healey is planning to file a motion to intervene in the case this morning in Boston federal court.
The state will become the first to sign on to the lawsuit as a plaintiff.
It was filed by two UMass Dartmouth professors from Iran who were detained at Logan International Airport despite being U.S. citizens.
