Governor Charlie Baker says he wants answers following the death of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez in his prison cell from an apparent suicide.
Baker says any time someone kills themselves in a prison cell, something clearly went wrong.
However, Baker says he's not going to draw any conclusions until the investigation into the matter is complete.
The body of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez is being returned to his home state of Connecticut for services and burial.
Hernandez was raised in Bristol, Connecticut, and that's where much of his immediate family still lives.
Massachusetts officials say Hernandez took his own life by hanging himself with a bedsheet in his prison cell.
Hernandez was in prison serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd near the former New England Patriot's North Attleboro home.
