It's three to four years in prison for a man accused of holding a knife to his pregnant wife's stomach in Springfield last summer.
Adam Scott Cutter was sentenced Monday in Hampden Superior Court. Cutter previously pleaded guilty to assault and battery on a pregnant victim and numerous other charges in connection to the domestic violence incident.
His attorney had argued for a lesser sentence, saying the former U.S. Marine became addicted to opioids being used for a service-related injury.
