Opioid Crisis Could Be Far Worse Than Reported

The nation's opioid abuse epidemic  might be even worse than people think.

New research by the CDC suggests  the total number of deaths from opiod abuse might be underestimated.

Latest figures show that 91 people die from opioid overdose every day.

In a report presented Monday, CDC researchers said autopsy reports on  people who are prescribed opioids for pain sometimes note only the immediate cause of death but don't mention opioid use.
