Baystate Health isn't getting all the money it requested from the Commonwealth for a new medical school. The 40-billion-dollar budget passed by the Massachusetts House on Tuesday includes a million dollars for the school, which is almost two-and-a-half-million less than what was requested by Baystate.
Still, State Representative Michael Finn says he was happy some money for the school got through the budget process.
The Senate will work on its own version of the budget next month.
There is no guarantee that the money will be in the final version of the budget or that the Governor would sign it.
