Three people are charged with murder, armed home invasion and assault and battery.
It's in connection with a home invasion on Maple Street in Holyoke around 2:30 Friday morning.
A patrol officer heard screaming and spotted a man running from the apartment building with a knife.
The suspects are identified as Sammy Lozada, Jose Espada and Madeline Garcia, all of Holyoke.
The victim was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he died.
Police theorize that the incident happened because the trio was trying to get property back.
It was the second murder of the year in Holyoke.
