A couple of suspicious fires from Wednesday are being investigated by the Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad.
One of them was at a vacant house on Tyler Street, and another was a brush fire at Forest Park.
In both instances, authorities say witnesses saw several children running from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
