It's not smooth sailing for a food truck regulation ordinance in Springfield.
City Council passed a measure Monday night, but a motion was made by council member Tim Rooke to immediately reconsider, and another vote will be taken next week.
The ordinance would allow permitting and fee collection for eight food trucks on Lyman Street and Kaynor Street, as well as another eight at Riverfront Park.
Several business owners objected, saying they didn't learn about the vote until the last second.
