A Boston-based company that owns a former mill complex in Wilbraham is being fined for alleged environmental violations.
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is hitting Wilbraham Land and Development LLC, which owns the former Collins Paper Company site on Cottage Avenue, with a 30-thousand-dollar fine for what it says are "numerous violations", including abandoned containers of potentially-hazardous waste material, piles of solid waste debris, junk cars, and other items.
The DEP said Wednesday the violations were identified last fall during inspections and that the company has not responded to follow-up requests.
