The new Union Station in Springfield is getting several historic passenger benches from Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
Congressman Richard Neal is responsible for bringing the benches in, and says they were sitting in storage. Neal says he wants police to investigate the apparent theft of the original benches at Union Station during the reconstruction process.
The new building is set to open to the public on June 24th.
