A court is going against MGM Resorts International in its fight versus Native American tribes in Connecticut who are seen as casino competition.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan issued a ruling on Wednesday in support of a Connecticut judge's decision to dismiss MGM's suit against the state.
MGM cried foul over Connecticut's two federally-recognized tribes building casinos on non-tribal land, targeting a "special registration pathway" for the tribes to build the establishments.
Connecticut has two casinos and is aiming for a third, while MGM is constructing one in Springfield that should be ready next year.
