There are several new candidates for Springfield City Council positions.
Former City Council member Timothy Ryan and community organizer Tracye White both launched campaigns to run for an at-large spot.
White stressed public safety, economic and workforce development in her campaign launch, while Ryan talked about reducing blight in the city and rehabilitating neighborhoods.
