Western Massachusetts faith leaders are expressing solidarity with a Springfield church that is giving sanctuary to undocumented immigrants.
About a hundred people prayed outside South Congregational Church on Thursday.
Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno vowed to fight the church's sanctuary plan, which was announced on June 16th, and the city's building commissioner recently asserted that the building is not properly zoned for such an initiative.
However, the church's pastor shared plans at last night's vigil for moving forward with the sanctuary.
