There's support for a Western Massachusetts man who is facing deportation.
Several-hundred individuals protested at Northampton City Hall yesterday on behalf of Niberd Abdalla, who is from Iraq but who has lived in the U.S. for nearly four decades.
Abdalla originally came to the country as a teenager escaping persecution when Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath party was fighting Kurdish rebellions.
The ACLU won a stay of deportation for Niberd and about 15-hundred other Iraqis who face deportation recently, but the stay expires on July 24th.
