Bill Clears Tax Confusion For Some

Springfield  Congressman Richard Neal is supporting the Refund Equality Act of  2017.

The legislation would ensure that legally-married same-sex  couples are permitted to file amended tax returns back to the date of  their marriage.

Until a U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2013, same-sex  married couples were barred from filing federal taxes jointly.

Neal  says all legally married couples deserve to be treated equally.
