MGM Springfield is officially dealing with competition for its new casino and resort.
Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy signed a new casino bill into law Thursday that will allow for the Native American tribes that operate the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos in that state to run a joint casino in East Windsor.
MGM officials say they will continue to fight the new casino, because they believe the path that was created for it to become a reality violates both the Connecticut and U.S. Constitutions.
