U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan says his tax reform package would be a boost to the nation's economy.
Ryan yesterday visited the New Balance factory in Lawrence to discuss his tax plan. He told workers that a simplified form is the first step and reducing taxes would also come about.
On Healthcare, the Speaker said that the numbers coming out of the Congressional Budget Office that 22 million people would lose health insurance under the Republican plan was "bogus". He said it assumed that when Obamacare ended that people would simply do nothing.
Ryan was greeted by protesters in the heavily Democratic city.
He was scheduled to travel to Nantucket after the event for a fundraiser scheduled for last night.
