Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Joe Kennedy the Third is chiming in after Senate Republicans failed to pass a bill to repeal Obamacare overnight.
Speaking on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" today, Kennedy said it was a big night for the American public and healthcare system.
He says tremendous gains have been made under the Affordable Care Act, but we need to make sure every person in the country has access to quality, affordable healthcare.
Kennedy says that starts with working to keep the Trump Administration from trying to sabotage efforts to make that happen.
The "skinny repeal" failed to pass the Senate with a 49-to-51 vote.
Meantime, Senator Bernie Sanders this weekend says he will introduce a Single Payer System of healthcare. He concedes that it will be an uphill fight.
