Springfield officials are considering if Axon body cameras should be used for police officers in the city.
The Arizona-based company gave a presentation on Tuesday for the devices, as well as police care dashboard cameras.
Police Commissioner John Barbieri, City Council President Orlando Ramos and state representatives attended the event, along with other members of the community.
Axon offered a one-year free trial of the body cameras earlier this year, but the union representing police officers is still in negotiations with the department regarding usage of the technology, according to Barbieri.
