Nine police cruisers in Auburn are off the road after an officer became sickened from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.
The officer crashed the cruiser after being overcome, and was later found to have high levels of the gas in his system.
Two other officers were later hospitalized after experiencing similar symptoms.
A check of the cruisers showed the presence of carbon monoxide, so all nine were pulled off the road until the source can be determined.
Ford has already said they are aware of the issue and will pay for repairs. The same issue has sprung up around the country from police departments using the same Ford Police Vehicles.
