The arrest of a protestor on the steps of Northampton's City Hall is drawing some attention.
Eric Matlock, a black Northampton resident, was filmed being pepper-sprayed and dragged away by Northampton police for a disorderly conduct arrest on Monday.
The woman who recorded the incident, who says she's his wife, says the silent protest was staged because of an ongoing dispute with the Department of Children and Families over the removal of their children.
Police say Matlock was blocking people from entering or leaving the building and that he wrapped his arms tightly around a handrail as officers attempted to remove him.
