An 80 year old Chicopee man has been arrested in Ludlow for faking that he was a homeless man and begging for money.
Richard Boyce was apparently dropped off everyday by his girlfriend.
Officials say Mr. Boyce was observed being dropped off on a daily basis on Cherry St. where he would hold a sign stating that he was homeless.
He was not.
Boyce is being charged with Misleading a Police Officer (Obstruction), Attempting to Commit a Crime (Larceny By False Pretenses), and Soliciting on a Public Way (Town Bylaw Violation). He is expected to be in court later today.
