MGM Resorts International is getting a setback in its fight against a new casino in Connecticut.
The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected MGM's request for consideration of an appeal of a 2015 law that the Connecticut legislature cited in giving the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes the go-ahead to pursue the state's third casino in East Windsor.
MGM is about a year away from opening a nearly billion-dollar resort casino in Springfield.
