A petition is being filed to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court asking for every drug case that was corrupted by disgraced former state drug lab chemist Sonja Farak to be tossed.
Farak, who was based out of a lab in Amherst, pleaded guilty to evidence-tampering and drug charges after she was arrested for stealing samples from the lab in 2013.
The petition was filed on Wednesday by the ACLU of Massachusetts, along with the group Hampden County Lawyers for Justice, two individuals who were convicted of drug crimes in cases were Farak was the state's chemist, and several others.
