Relief Efforts Continue In Western Mass

Hurricane relief efforts geared  towards helping people in Puerto Rico are solidifying in Western  Massachusetts.

A group of political leaders,  non-profits, business owners and religious group called Western  Massachusetts United for Puerto Rico is coming together to establish  drop-off donation centers in Springfield, Westfield and Holyoke.

A meeting was held on Thursday in Springfield  to coordinate the effort, including representatives from the offices of  Congressman Richard Neal and Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.

The deaths of nine people attributed to Hurricane Maria have been  confirmed in Puerto Rico, and many people are still missing.
