More developments are unfolding in the Amazing World of Doctor Seuss Museum mural controversy.
The president of Doctor Seuss Enterprises in California, Susan Brandt, could meet with Springfield Museums officials soon to discuss the matter regarding a Chinese character on the mural that was deemed racist by several children's book authors.
The museum agreed to remove the mural last week, but Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and others have called for the display to stay.
Museum officials reportedly plan in the meantime on placing a note on the mural that explains the character placement.
