Public transit riders in Boston are getting a preview of the new rail cars that will be manufactured in East Springfield.
A short video released on Tuesday by the MBTA shows several pilot cars that have been created for the transit authority's Orange Line by CRRC at its main headquarters in Changchun, China.
The company is expected to make hundreds of train cars for service in Boston, as well as Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Governor Charlie Baker and Mayor Domenic Sarno are scheduled to tour the local CRRC facility on Thursday.
