A Western Massachusetts judge who was taken off the bench earlier this year is the subject of a sexual harassment allegation.
The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination began investigating a complaint filed against Eastern Hampshire District Court Judge Thomas Estes in July by Tammy Cagle, a former clinical coordinator in the Pittsfield Drug Court.
Cagle alleges she was removed from her position as retribution for ending a sexual relationship with Estes. It was reported in August that Estes had been reassigned to Holyoke District Court but was not presiding over any cases.
An online petition called for the removal of Estes in August 2016 after he gave probation to a former East Longmeadow high school athlete who was charged with sexually assaulting two unconscious classmates.
