A criminal justice reform bill on Beacon Hill has support from those who knew a Western Massachusetts activist.
Springfield community organizer Jafet Robles was shot and killed in a Chicopee park this past summer.
A group rallied at the State House yesterday to honor Robles and the work he did.
The bill eliminates mandatory minimum sentences for some drug crimes, gets rid of fees charged to defendants, and funds more job training and rehab programs for ex-inmates.
