It's Election Day in Springfield.
Officials are concerned about a low turnout, after just over five percent of registered voters showed up for preliminary election action in September.
There is no mayor's race in Springfield, but there are ten candidates running for five at-large City Council seats, as well as four contested seats in wards.
There are a number of other races in Western Massachusetts, including for mayor in Holyoke and in Northampton and Easthampton.
