By John Baibak
Dec 12, 2017

A property tax increase is being approved in Springfield.

City Council said yes to a two-percent hike on Monday for fiscal year  2018, by a vote of 9-to-2.

The average single-family home's annual bill  will increase by about 107 dollars, and the tax rate for business  properties increased 21 cents for every one-thousand dollars of property  value.
