A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Southern New England from the National Weather Service.
Forecasters say the combination of heavy rain on top of snow melt and the possibility of ice jams along area rivers and streams will present the threat of flooding.
Janna Brown in the WHYN Weather Center says two to three inches of rain, with some areas seeing four inches, are possible.
Low lying areas will see a good amount of flooding.
