The state is reporting 52 deaths so far from the flu this season in Connecticut.
The Department of Public Health says 20 deaths from influenza have been confirmed in the last week alone.
More than 40 of the 52 deaths involve patients over the age of 65-years-old.
Over eleven hundred patients have been hospitalized with the flu since late August.
Officials say they are not worried right now that hospitals could run out of Flu Tests. If they do, doctors say there are other ways to figure out if a patient has the flu or not.
We are expecting the Massachusetts numbers to be updated at some point later today.
